Collective Tarot Reading

Happy February!

This month’s Collective Reading invites us into the power of connecting with our inner spark —specifically through creative play. When we spend quality, pleasurable time with ourselves we soothe the inner critic that may be present. In choosing to spend more time with our inner creative (aka our Spirit) we find ourselves connected to a higher consciousness. Through this self-engagement we attune to and appreciate our inner compass. We embrace the quiet (or loud) rebel in us — and honor all that we have learned from the challenges we’ve found the courage to face.

Page of Wands 〰️ Reversed Lovers 〰️ Reversed 10 of Pentacles

Page of Wands (Position: Perspective of Divine)

In this card we’re learning how to work with the massive creative force that exists within all of us.

We tune into our own questions- and see seeing what within us wants to grow — maybe sprouts have already started or maybe we’re planting new seeds

We checking in with our inner light - choosing to deliberately reignite it. If you’ve ever had to relight the pilot on your stove — we’re relighting the pilot of our lives.

The Page, as the beginner, brings a grounded energy of curiosity, faith and eagerness. When we show up open and connected to our imagination new possibilities emerge.

In Page of Wands, we ask:

What most lights you up?

Where do you feel passionate in life ?

What stirs you, fills you with positive or tender emotions?

What makes you feel most alive?

What in your life makes you laugh and feel playful?

In our culture, we tend to treat creative expression as though it’s optional - a task we can squeeze in if we have a few spare moments after working, childcare, errands, tv time, socializing, cleaning, etc. It usually goes at the bottom of an ever growing to-do list.

But our creative spark is our Spirit - it’s how we connect with and spend time with our Spirit.

So this month, the question is - How can I add more creative play to my life?

Reversed Lovers (Position: Our Perspective)

In the Lovers Card, we see two figures representing the different parts of us —the intuition and the rational mind. We can imagine the different hemispheres of our brain — the creative right hemisphere and the logical left. Only by integrating our parts can we a higher consciousness —represented by the Angel on the card.

We can ask what energy are we’ve been aligned with - are we making time to be with the highest version of ourself and allowing that part to lead more often?

The Lovers Card asks us to face certain facts that run counter to what we’re taught about how love works. We’re reminded that we can only receive as much love as we offer ourselves - so how can we practice learning to see our true worth and as a result increase our capacity to receive love?

The more we love and appreciate ourselves - the more we experience that love in every area of our lives- in our interactions in the world, our relationships, and our work.

If we accept that the world is a mirror — often reflecting back how we feel about ourselves or what we were taught to believe about ourselves (this isn’t a punishment) — it’s a truth that empowers us. I also acknowledge that privilege is a part of how much power we have over our day to day reality and choices — but we learn to discern where we have power in our lives and start there.

It’s the consistency of mindset required that makes it feel challenging- to learn to hold a steady vibration of contentment and self -approval. I believe we might as well learn to make our spiritual life enjoyable — so we can turn our practice into play.

The card reversal asks us where we may feel challenged — are we having hard time seeing ourselves clearly? Maybe we’re being overly critical or setting up unfair expectations? Either way, the answer is to be kind to yourself. Resistance is important information -- it’s lets us know we may need to check in with ourselves because our inner messaging may not be accurate. The reversal simply lets us know that we may need to do a bit of self nurturing before we feel able to accept the full invitation into the card’s energy.

Reversed 10 of Pentacles (What We’re Learning)

The 10 of Pentacles represents the energy of the quiet rebel —the part of us that can’t help but be guided an inner compass that can feel bigger than us. We find ourselves taking a stand — not to make a statement, but because we don’t know how-not-to.

It’s the energy of the chain breaker, the pattern disrupter and the truth teller. They choose to do things differently by following a quiet inner instinct (they may not be aware of ) —giving them the ability to change inter-generational patterns.

When this card comes up, it’s to remind you that you’re on “your path”- The 10 of Pentacles comes in to dispel any doubts. You are where you need to be when this card comes up —and often it comes up when we’re in doubt. And the reversal offers greater awareness of the uncertainty that may be there.

But the cultural idea of a singular “path” is misguided. We’re here to evolve- it’s impossible to be late for that —so it’s more to let you know that your where you need to be in your ever evolving, choose-your-own-adventure, full of millions of potentials journey. It’s so much more flexible than we realize it is.

In this card we are connected with the wise, mature part of ourselves- we’re connected to fullness of who we are and the experiences we’ve learned and grown from.

In the symbolism on the card, the person is unrecognizable to the other people when they return to the town — only the animals are able to recognize them on a deeper intuitive level.

I see this card as the fruits gained of the chariot card — the reward of choosing oneself. We can see their abundance — which is represented by the robe covered in full, lush vegetation. In this card we are reminded that there is no greater wealth than self knowledge.

Summary

From the perspective of divine we’re learning how to reconnect with our divine spark— creativity and play are the easiest way to do it. Think about what brings you happiness and find time to do more of it.

From our perspective, it’s a good idea to check in on our habitual self-talk and self-image. Are we consistently kind and patient with ourselves? Do we allow ourselves to rest when we’re tired? There are simple ways that we can show ourselves more compassion and care each day…and it will have a beneficial affect on your entire reality.

And finally - we’re learning to see and embrace our inner rebel. Take pride in the times you went your own way or said no to something unfair or unjust. The 10 of Cups reminds you to pause and really appreciate all of your healing and self development efforts. It all matters. The reversal acknowledges that sometimes it’s difficult to see the culmination of our efforts —it may take time for the seed to sprout and show evidence of change. But remember, in the case of the seed, the change had already begun before the evidence presented it self.

Oh Hello Friend!

I’m so excited to share a virtual pre-recorded workshop called Strength 2024.

It’s a a 1 hour audio teaching, divided into three modules, where we’ll explore the cycles of 2023/2024 and look towards 2025.

We use numerology to find the Universal Tarot card of the year- and in 2024 it’s the Strength Card.

I’ll explain why connecting with our vulnerability is how we see and know our own strength.

Along with the audio teaching, you’ll receive an Activity play book with exercises, journal prompts and lots of resources.

You’ll receive spiritual teachings, meditations and exercises that you can return to daily, weekly and monthly so that you can see your intuitive development as you go.

And you don’t need any experience with the Tarot for this experience.
